Professional Biography

A career shaped by clinical service, continued learning, and a focused interest in musculoskeletal care.

Gaetan Jean Marie is a New York nurse practitioner whose professional background includes public healthcare service, musculoskeletal injury evaluation, orthopedics, pain-focused care, and clinical practice development.

Jean Marie completed nurse practitioner education at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he served within NYC Health + Hospitals, contributing to patient care during an exceptional period for New York City’s healthcare system.

His subsequent clinical experience expanded into orthopedics, pain management, minimally invasive procedures, and focused musculoskeletal evaluation. This work contributed to an ongoing clinical interest in the relationship among symptoms, physical examination findings, functional limitations, diagnostic studies, and response to treatment.

In 2022, Jean Marie opened a New York-based practice focused on musculoskeletal injuries and related conditions. The practice approach emphasizes individualized assessment, conservative treatment when appropriate, functional evaluation, diagnostic correlation, and clear treatment planning.

Professional Philosophy

Musculoskeletal care is most useful when the evaluation considers more than a diagnosis alone. A meaningful assessment should examine where symptoms occur, how they affect daily function, what can be reproduced on examination, how prior treatment has worked, and whether diagnostic information changes the clinical plan.

That framework continues to guide Jean Marie’s clinical interests and professional development.
